A design build renovation and addition to an existing Tudor Revival in Bellaire has a new, narrow two story screened porch with a soaring cathedral-like ceiling that was designed and built as an outdoor room to open up interior living and dining rooms to outside space and light. Panels made of 2x2s help keep the west sun at bay while allowing cooling breezes to penetrate inside and outside spaces. A room with large dormer was added to the front of the house over the garage; the owner's "man cave," that has exposed wooden beams, which act structural collar ties for its vaulted ceiling.
